The greatest, more perfect One has already come (Heb. 9:12), but still the proud, rebellious Jews reject Him. Their final end is described in the final chapters of the Revelation. It is they who murdered the prophets and the Prince of life. Their city, earthly Jerusalem, has already fallen, in 70 AD, just as Christ predicted. It will never rise again under God's special favor. See Rev. chs.17-19. Also 14:8. The final destruction of Jerusalem is confirmed by our Lord in Matthew 23:29-36, etc.
The water of life -- Rev. 22:17. We find it in greatest abundance in Christ and in his new covenant.
Follow a straight course -- Prov. 4:26-27. Straight and narrow way -- Mt. 7:14; Jo. 10:1-6. Re. those who come up some other way not prescribed by sacred command.

A better hope -- Heb. 7:11 & 19.
"My yoke is easy, and my burden is light." -- Mt. 11:30; I Jo. 5:3. Contrast this with the "yoke of bondage" that the Jews could not bear (Acts 15:9-10; Gal. 5:1). It is a miracle to find all of our burdens lifted in Christ as we learn of his new covenant and honor its protective boundaries, which keep us from falling back into errors, as in Judaism and paganism, if we but only apply it.
Everlasting -- Once for all time, good for all time -- p. 54.
Everlasting Covenant -- Heb. 13:20-21. The New Covenant -- Holy Spirit -- far greater glory. -- p. 74, bottom (#11). pp. 63-64 (no other offerings for sin. Animal sacrifices are unacceptable in God's sight. He does not favor those who practice such things. (II Cor. 3:5-17, 3:11)

Grace (not meaningless) -- p. 37. Gal 2:21. It is through his grace and power that we are transformed from the natural man into the regenerated (born again) spiritual man.
Great Blessings -- Eph. 1:3.
Heavenly Jerusalem -- Heb. 12:22. p.71.

The heavenly Jerusalem -- Heb. 12:22, p. 71.
Jew and Gentile -- pp. 73-74. Equal, and wall of separation removed -- p.74, #10. Acts 10:34-35 -- there are no favorites with God.
The Jews -- Mt. 3:7; 12:34; 23:35; Lu. 3:7 -- A generation of vipers. Christ is a stumbling block to them I Cor. 1:23. They have become a byword among the nations in history because of their rebellion and disobedience to God. See Deut. 28:37; I Ki. 9:6-9; II Chr. 7:20-22.
Our Lord Jesus says of them, in Matt. 23:15: "What sorrow awaits you teachers of religious law and you Pharisees. Hypocrites! For you shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people's faces. You won't go in yourselves, and you won't let others enter either." (see through v. 39*. Also, I Th. 2:14-16.)
It is most fitting here to mention how still even today, the above Scripture is being played out in the Jewish religious books. They remove all prophetic references to the coming of Christ 2000 years ago. In this way, they perpetrate a lie and "shut the door of the Kingdom of Heaven in people's faces"… They refuse to entertain any questions to the truth by removing the truth. Such evils remain overlooked by many modern "Christians", who naively live out a lie against Christ, and support the Jews in their wicked ways against Him instead.

Things already torn down -- p. 62; Gal. 2:16-21 and 3:7-29. "Garbage" -- Phil. 3:8-9. Worthless observances -- Gal. 4:10; Col. 2:16-17.
